John F. Roberts

John F. Roberts, 74, of West Peoria, IL., passed away at 12:06 am Tuesday, May 3, 2022, at his residence with his family by his side.

On Sundy, October 26, 1947, John was born in Peoria, IL. He is the son of Harold and Margaret Webb Roberts. He married Karen L. Cox in Pekin, IL.

He is survived by his wife, Karen, one daughter Lisa Roberts of Peoria, one son John Roberts II of South Carolina, two stepsons and daughter-in-laws Michael (Poppy Matlock) Vinovich of Bartonville, IL and Jeffrey (Christina) Vinovich of Edwards, IL. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, one great-granddaughter, and one sister and brother-in-law, Winnie and Ronnie Wright of Pekin. His parents, one brother, Eugene, and one sister, Mary Arndt, all preceded him in death.

He was an honorably discharged U.S. Army Veteran. John worked for the City of Peoria Public Works Department, retiring in 1987 as a foreman. He was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church in Peoria.

Cremation Rites have been accorded. A Memorial Mass will be held Tuesday, June 21 at 11:00 am at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Peoria. Visitation will be one hour prior to his service, also at the church. Affordable Funeral & Cremation Services of Peoria is assisting the family with arrangements.
