Joseph A. Hobbick

Joseph A. Hobbick, 74, of Peoria, IL, passed away at 7:04 pm on Sunday, August 1, 2021, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

Joe was born on June 21, 1947, in Menomonie, WI to John and Phyllis (Snyder) Hobbick. He married Suzanne Gerard on June 15, 1971 in Peoria. She survives.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, and one brother.

Joe served three tours during the Vietnam War as a Green Beret. It was his pleasure to go on the Greater Peoria Honor Flight accompanied by his good friend, Harry.

Joe graduated from Bradley University and University of Illinois. Joe was an IBI Agent for the State of Illinois where he received many commendations. He then designed bars in nightclubs at several locations. He was recognized in Who’s Who 2004 Edition.

He had many lifelong friends, some of which he had breakfast with every Friday morning at Childers.

Cremation rites have been accorded. As per Joe’s wishes, there will be no visitation or service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Greater Peoria Honor Flight, P.O. Box 5072, Peoria, IL 61601-5072. To share a memory or to leave a condolence, please visit www.peoriafuneral.com.
