Judith Ann Buckman

Judith Ann Buckman, 77, of Chillicothe, IL, formerly of Sherman, IL, passed away at 8:27 am on Saturday, July 9, 2022, at her home. She was born August 21, 1944, in Springfield, IL, the daughter of Otto and MaryAnn (Pierce) Butchek.

Judy married Ralph Marvin Buckman on May 16, 1964, at Sacred Heart Church in Springfield, IL. She graduated from Feitshans High School in 1963. Judy enjoyed bowling, baseball, football, and playing the lottery. She retired from Blue Cross and Blue Shield after working there for over twenty years.
                         
She is preceded in death by her parents, Otto Butchek and MaryAnn Blasko Maurer, two brothers, Jonathan Butchek & Leonard Maurer Jr., and two sisters, Mary Margaret Howell & Barbara Calvert.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Ralph Marvin Buckman of Chillicothe, IL. as well as her loving children, Shirley Singer (husband Toby) of Groveland, FL, Christina Crowder (husband Marvin) of Chillicothe, IL, and Colby (wife Jennifer) of Brownstown, MI. Also surviving are three grandsons, Benjamin Singer (wife Emalee) of Perrysburg, OH, Alex Buckman (fiance Mindy) of Washington, IL, and Dalton Smith of Deercreek, IL, two step-grandsons, Marc Singer (wife Mikaela) of Arizona and Brian Singer (wife Elizabeth) of Novi, MI and great-grandson, Bennett Singer, of Perrysburg, OH. Judy is survived by one sister, Kathy McCann (Dennis) of Livonia, MI, and one brother Michael Maurer, of Springfield, IL.
