Obituary
Marjorie June Putney of Norwood, passed away with her family at her side, on Tuesday, June 28, 2022, at the OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria.
Marge was born to Frank Edward and Sada Ruth (Creselius) Roloff on June 26, 1925, in Peoria, IL. She married Hubert “HAP” Putney on January 17, 1943, in Kahoka, MO. Hap preceded her in death after 66 years of marriage on Sep 13, 2009.
She is survived by daughters, Margaret Hartley, Martha (Jeff) Lowery, Ruth Putney; three sons Chuck, Alvie & Daniel Putney. Grandchildren, Chris (Dana) Franklin, Shawn (Shalimar) Franklin, Heather Franklin, Sarah Lowery and Ben (Laura) Lowery. Great Grandchildren Emma, Abigail, Lauren, Elizabeth, Kavelle, Tre`, Preston, EliAnna, Nicholas, Madison, Mackenzie, Collin and Nate. Brother in laws Kenneth (Sheila) Putney and Paul Putney.
Hap and Marge loved to travel after retiring, taking their grandchildren on wonderful adventures all over the country. They wintered in Texas for many years and went to their property in Winter, WI to make maple syrup as often as they could. Marge loved reading, playing pool, knitting, bowling and garage sales.
There will be no visitation. Private family burial will be at Swan Lake Memory Gardens on Friday, July 1, 2022. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Sams Animal Rescue in Hanna City, IL.
