Michael Ray Walker, 66, of Hanna City, IL passed away peacefully on Monday, September 6, 2021 surrounded by his family, at his home.
He was born on September 15, 1954 in Peoria, IL to Art and Louise (Dawson) Walker. He married Patricia Kamin on June 17, 1990 in Peoria and she survives.
He is also survived by his daughters Jennifer (Chris) Turner of Hanna City, Amy (Vio) Villanueva of Peoria, and Lauren Walker who lives at home. His brother Butch Epley of Port Aransas, Texas, sisters Patti (Don) Harmison of Germantown Hills, Nancy Epley of South Carolina, Kathy Williamson of Pekin, honorary brother, Norman McGhee, and granddaughter Kylie Turner of Hanna City and several nieces and nephews also survive.
He is preceded in death by his parents and one daughter Blake Walker.
He attended High School in Peoria Heights, Illinois. He served in the United States Navy where he was honorably discharged. He was a member of the IBPAT District Council #1 / Painters Local 157.
Nature was his passion along with music, Harley-Davidson motorcycles, and his family, along with a love for his Northern Cheyenne ancestry. He enjoyed his time cooking pork for Crusaders for Kids events and family functions.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, September 19, 2021 at the Hanna City Sportsman’s Club from 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm. All family and friends are welcome to attend.
Contributions may be made to the Education Fund through CEFCU for his daughter Lauren who is pursuing her nursing degree.
