Robert (Bob) Earl Endsley passed away at 8:35 A.M. Friday, February 11, 2022, in his sleep at Sharon Elms Health Care at the age of 92.
Robert was born on April 22, 1930, in Peoria to Earl and Anny (Micheal) Endsley. He married Phillis Dowel. He later married the love of his life Helen Eileen Hanchet in 1970. He is survived by his daughter Patricia May of Peoria, son-in-law Larry May and 10 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Sonny, son Steven, daughter Diana and grandson Andy May.
Bob served in the US Navy at Pensacola Naval Base in Florida on P-51’s from June 27, 1944, to April 1950. Bob was a skilled Painter and Contractor for over 50 years. He had the knowledge and skill to not only paint but wallpaper and transform doors and pillars to look like wood. Bob was a fan of cars. He bought them new every few years but later in life bought used every few years. He also loved Indy Time Trials and Pro Football. Bob and Eileen loved to Sunday drive and have picnics. One thing about Bob was that he was always working on his many houses. He was continually helping his family, his church (First English Lutheran, Peoria) and friends with their homes and property. He was very generous to the May and Benko families.
