Samantha Swearingen

Samantha Kimberly Swearingen, 48, of Peoria, passed away at 11:14 pm Sunday, February 6, 2022, at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria.

On August 28, 1973, she was born in Peoria, the daughter of Jerry and Rhonda Bateson Pyatt. She married Charles P. Swearingen on December 14, 2019, in Peoria.

Surviving are her husband, one daughter Alexandria Sommerville of Banner, IL, her parents of Hanna City, IL, one brother Chad (Chrissie) Pyatt of Trivoli, IL.  

God didn't wait for her to get to heaven. Sam was an angel on earth. She was a special girl who loved everyone. She loved her husband, Chuck.   It was a love match that couldn't be denied. She loved her mom and dad, brother Chad, and daughter Alexandria unconditionally and dearly. She had Bitsy, her puppy, by her side for comfort through all her struggles. She had two sisters-in-law, a brother-in-law, and an extended family that gave her never-ending love. Words do not seem to be enough to tell her story. She was a person that showed us the art of love and joy. She will be missed but never forgotten.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A graveside service at Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria will be scheduled for a later date.
