Sherrie Egan 78 of Peoria, IL passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on Wednesday Sept 29, 2021. She was born on September 20, 1943 in Peoria, IL. She married David Egan on October 14, 2015. He survives.

Also surviving are her daughter Kelly (Matt) Davis of Manhattan, IL., four step children Jessica, Jeanette, Jason and Justin Egan, along with her grandchildren, Ben, Madeline, Truman, Asher, Jailyn, Jessa, Jennis, Kinley, Milah, Quade, Quincy, Jake and Blake. Siblings Sandra Studdert, Sioux Falls, SD, Charley (Martie) Elgin La Porte, TX, Don (Rosie) Pierson Jr. Mapleton, IL, Rev Rick (Nancy) Pierson Naperville, IL, and Candie (Gary) Chiaravalle Bartonville, IL. Preceding her in death were her parents, one son Rick Naramore and sister Cindy Salazar.

Sherrie was the owner and promoter of Peoria Speedway, Inc. from 1988 until 2014 and received multiple awards from NASCAR for her NASCAR Weekly Racing program. Sherrie was a member of Grace Presbyterian Church in Peoria, IL.

At Sherrie’s request, a private family service is planned with no public funeral or memorial service.
