Todd A. Joos, 69, of Lowpoint, IL passed away Sunday, January 16, 2022, at Unity Point Health Methodist in Peoria, IL
He was born May 30, 1952, in Peoria IL to Emil and Patricia Stanslow Joos. Todd is survived by his wife Lorie, sons Josh and Kyle Joos. He is also survived by his stepchildren John Renken, Joseph Renken, Carin (Bret) Vickrey, and Kristopher Hardin along with 17 grandchildren, and one great-grandson. He is survived by his sister Pam Kahler, mother-in-law Patricia Faucon, sister and brother-in-law Jan and Stan Grebner, and several nieces and a nephew. Todd was preceded in death by his parents, sister Teri Joos, and brother David Joos.
Todd and Lorie were married June 24, 2001. Todd became a die-hard Cardinal fan and spent the rest of his life tormenting Cubs fans everywhere. They enjoyed their trips to Jupiter, FL for Spring Training, where they also hit every beach and seafood shack, they could find along the way. They would attend as many games as possible in St. Louis and, of course, no trip was complete without a stop to his favorite restaurant, Zia's on the Hill.
Todd was an avid beekeeper, and a competitive pool player before an injury put his game on hold in 2009.
Per Todd's wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later time when the flowers are blooming and the bees are working, Todd’s favorite time of year. Donations may be made to Cystic Fibrosis of Indiana https://www.cff.org/chapters/indiana-chapter, where his granddaughter, Dalaney Vickrey, is an Ambassador, or Sophia's Angels Kitchen of Peoria http://www.catholicpeoria.com/.
