Willa "Billie" Lambie

Willa P. “Billie” Lambie, 91, of Bartonville passed away at 2:30am, Monday, April 6, 2020 at her residence surrounded by her family.

She was born on August 9, 1928 in Delaware, IN daughter of the late William P. and Frances I. Probert.  Willa married John B. Lambie Jr. on March 24, 1945, in Peoria and he passed away on May 4, 2018.  She was also preceded in death by one son John Lambie III,  two grandchildren, one brother and two sisters.

Surviving are her children Crystal Lagrisse of Washington, IL, Sharon (Late Charles) Kirkbride of Bartonville, Alex (Sandy) Lambie of North Pekin, Mark (Anita) Lambie of Glasford, IL and Phyllis (David) Lamm of Ipava, IL.  Also surviving are 15 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 10 great great grandchildren along with her caretaker/daughter in love, Terry Hess whom made her home with Billie.

Heaven has gained a treasured soul whose spirit will live on through family that she left behind and will be forever in their hearts. Billie was very active with family and community through the years and was called mom by many who were not hers.  

Billie worked for the Peoria County Recorder of Deeds for many years.

Cremation Rites have been accorded and a celebration of her life will be held at a later date.  In her memory and in lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Shriner’s Hospital for Cripple Children or to the Parkinson’s Foundation.  To share a memory or send a condolence for her family, visit www.peoriafuneral.com.
